Burn the son of a poor Italian immigrant mother and beer drinking German dad, one would think an opera singer, or an accordion player? Nope. Just a jack of all rock musical trades. Master of nada, but almost, almost, almost famous. Got ‘the pick’ in billboard, but well, almost.

Gary "Doc" Dickerson - Guitar / Vocals

Son of a poor sharecropper from London, Ohio moved to C-bus at an
early age. Joined first R&R band in H.S. in 1964 but was ignored by
Beatlemania. Sought fame and intelligence at "The Ohio State
University." Education was put on hold by Nam..."Met my wonderful
wife as a result of this stupid war so it wasn't all bad"...finished
OSU in 75 and moved to Illinois...while in Grad school there, joined
second band...The Flamingos. Came to Tiffin in 82 to teach at
Heidelberg. Joined a former student to form the "B-sides" in
92. Hooked up with Paulus in summer of 93 and have been making music
ever since. First in Olden Phatt's Pink, then the 4 Closures and now
Rusty Vinyl. I don't wanna hang up my Rock n Roll shoes!
Peace.

Steve Williams - Keyboard

Born and raised in Tiffin, Ohio. Organized first group of Calvert High classmates and began playing in 1965 as "The Peasants". After high school, classmate Tony Paulus joined the group as lead singer for a short time before the members disbanded and headed to college.

During freshman year at Wittenberg U. formed "Flying Ralph Nelson and the Bluebirds" with Springfield, Ohio natives but met with little success until the spring of 1970 audition with Dayton, Ohio band "The Skiffle". The group was reforming and continued working for the next year. Returning to Tiffin, joined "The Yankee Dog Band" and played until the fall of 1972, then returned to Dayton to reform a new group around the nucleus of 'The Skiffle'.

That group became "Dixie Peach" and included Tony Paulus on Keyboards and Guitar. The band was heavily influenced by Blues Rock, i.e. The Allman Brothers Band, and met with some success performing throughout the midwest and south during the next 3 years. Well known in Dayton after the release of their first LP, the band performed several shows at Hara Arena during the same period, opening for Joe Walsh and Barnstorm, Blue Oyster Cult, Billy Cobham, Roy Buchanan and Babe Ruth.

After "Dixie Peach" broke up in the summer of 1975, performed with different local Dayton musicians, including some session work, without lasting effect. In 1980 returned to Tiffin to reopen Club 224as "Mutshots". Managed the family business for the next 10 years, while marrying wife, Lisa, raising two boys and graduating from Tiffin University in 1990. Currently working at Tiffin Paper Company as Marketing and Systems Director.

Reunited in 1995 for a 20 year reunion convert with "Dixie Peach" and began regular yearly performances, eventually recording Butta in 2003. "Dixie Peach" continues playing limited engagements.

In 1999, also joined a second band, the short-lived "Jurassic Rock" and in 2000 joined the reformed "Oden Phatt's Pink" with Tony, Gary, John and JR's drummer, Denny Gruss, which became the original "Rusty Vinyl".

Mark Armstrong - Drums

Got my first drum from my mom and dad when I was nine.
Was in jazz band and joined my first rock band in high school
Graduated from BGSU with a BS in Marketing (Heavy on the BS)

Met wife Barb while playing a gig at Edgar’s in Pt Clinton 30-some years ago.
Played with Tony in ICE back in the 70’s. Other bands over the years included Sinbad, Eon, and the Cruz Band.
Several musical influences including Kenny Aronoff, Max Weinberg, Charlie Watts, Bobby Colomby, Danny Seraphine, Buddy Rich, and all of those great Motown drummers.

My day job is selling scoreboards and furniture to schools and I am a member of the Carey School Board.
I like to play drums that are as old as me.

“If thine enemy wrong thee, but each of his children a drum”.

Pat Del Turco - Guitar/Bass

Just your average Daygo-Limey curly haired middle aged dude......

Pat is a long time area bass player, and after almost 5 years with Rusty Vinyl, is still thrilled to be there. Pat is a local Tiffin boy...a graduate of Calvert High School and Tiffin University. He has played in local bands, Random Sample, Rock Steady, Who Cares, as well as doing numerous sub jobs, and currently also plays bass for Allie and The Rockers. Pat is a local Police Officer and is counting the days until retirement. He is happily a newlywed to wife Deb,
who actually first spotted him at a Rusty Vinyl gig after Doc announced Pat was single , and has three awesome kids and two incredible step kids, ranging in ages from 11 to 23.

Pat's favorite bass players and bass influences start and end with Sir Paul McCartney, but also include Allen Woody, Dug Pinnick, Pino Pallandino, Duck Dunn, Geddy Lee, and anyone else with a groove.

Pat's other interests are football (Green Bay Packers!!!!!), soccer (Arsenal FC, Columbus Crew), and creating interesting odors on stage for Doc to enjoy.
